Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres


Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres started martial arts at the age of 4 and it began with Shotokan Karate. Once obtaining his black belt certification, after 12 years of training; Shorty slowly transitioned into MMA. At the age of 16, he was perfecting his skills at Combat-Do with the legendary hall of fame Judo and Jiu-jitsu trainer Master Bob Schirmer in Judo, Jujitsu, Jeet-Kune-Do, Boxing, Kickboxing, Pankration, San Shou, Muay Thai, K1, and Wrestling. Currently, Shorty is a brown belt rank in the Combat-Do (Judo/Jiujitsu) training system. Recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Leadership and Sports and Exercise Science from NCAA Division II McKendree University. Shorty’s amateur MMA record was 25-1 with 25 straight wins and was pronounced the most decorated amateur MMA fighter in the world by many organizations.

Santiago Muratalla


Santiago started his journey into fitness in high school competing in power lifting meets. He would research and study new and different ways to become stronger to be the best. This passion then lead him into transforming his body not just for strength but for aesthetics. So, Santiago studied kinesiology, sports nutrition and various anatomy and physiology classes in college. This still wasn’t enough for him, so, he also took certification courses with FMS and PTA Global. Once having this knowledge not only did Santiago apply it to clients but he applied it to himself too, practices what he preaches. Santiago decide to do a bodybuilding show in the physique category. To this day he still competes and loves to do so. Santiago is now a nationally qualified NPC physique Competitor.

Suraqah Shabazz

Suraqah is a 33 year old Chicago native. He is a father of 2 boys and a Chicago Firefighter. Suraqah has been competing for over one and half years. He attended Grambling State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

Suraqah started working out during his sophomore year in college and has not looked back since. His first competition was the 2015 Mike Matarazzo Classic, where he won the Overall Award. A few months after this he would go on and earn his Pro Card at the 2016 Jr. Nationals where he would win the Overall Award again. Suraqah’s first professional win came in 2017 at the Mile High Denver Pro, which would qualify him for the 2017 Olympia competition.

During his time off from competitions and working out, Suraqah loves to read motivational books and quotes, current favorite is Relentless by Tim Grover. He also loves to spend time with his kids playing video games and watching movies.
